Sales Representative for self-propelled sprayers in Eastern States of Australia

Function Description

Every farmer and contractor has its own daily challenge to achieve the highest possible return at the lowest cost. On a more global level, we know there is sufficient capacity to produce enough food, despite the increasing world population. Farmers can grow sufficient, healthier, safer and more sustainable food. Because that’s exactly the business that Agrifac is in! 
Our Sales Representative contributes to this daily challenge to our customers in Australia with a professional and enthusiastic attitude, with the goal to increase the market share.  He/she is an ambassador of the company and shows a representative and positive impression.
 
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services
  • Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization
  • The job requires regular coordination between various departments of the organization. You do this in a pleasant and effective manner, that represents the importance of the interests;
  • Prior to visiting a customer, you collect all relevant information in order to advise professionally;
  • Supporting Demo projects;
  • You represent Agrifac at exhibitions.

Job requirements

  • You have a higher professional education degree or equivalent  in a technical sales capacity
  • You have extensive experience in selling machinery for the agriculture and/or for growing  vegetables and fruit;
  • You plan and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment;
  • You are willing to travel around the country;

Technical Support Engineers (Agrifac Australia)

A key component of our business is the product support team who provide technical support to Agrifac customers and partners. The work is challenging, fast-paced and very fulfilling. In a varied role, product support professionals work with every area of the company, including sales, engineering, spare parts, manufacturing, marketing, dealers and customers. What You'll Do

Due to ongoing growth in Australia we require Technical Support Engineers based in WA, NSW and VIC. You will perform as a team member of Agrifac Australia with a territory specific responsibility to perform technical, product, & customer support initiatives for our range of self-propelled crop sprayers within Australia. This position is focused on ensuring that customers within the territory are supported through direct interaction with the customer base and Agrifac partners. In addition, you will:

  • Have direct responsibility to provide sustainable world class technical, product, & customer support for our customers and partners within the territory
  • Resolve product and performance issues and communicate with Agrifac Machinery B.V. on appropriate issues and solutions
  • Manage efforts in developing partner product support capabilities to improve customer satisfaction
  • Promote sale of products, parts, and services to partners and end users and be jointly accountable for meeting sales goals and market share goals
  • Administer Company product warranty & Product Improvement Program (PIP) policies
  • Develop Agrifac partners service management/profitability capabilities

What It Takes

We need an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who thrives on solving problems and working in a global team environment. Ideally, you will have a formal qualification backed with relevant experience in the industry. We also require:

  • Ability to communicate in English fluently
  • Knowledge of agricultural equipment preferred 
  • Knowledge of products, customers, markets, and competitors
  • Understanding of Customer Support Process
  • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Field Service experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer network, and broad product knowledge
  • Customer/Product Support experience with customer interaction regarding products, parts, and service
  • Willingness to travel into difficult environments and/or for extended periods of time (approximately 95%)
  • Periodic International and Domestic travel

A strong candidate will also have

  • Technical skills, knowledge and experience in Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical Engineering
  • Aptitude to work hard, autonomously, be self-motivated and conscientious
  • Technical knowledge pertaining to electrical systems (canbus), hydraulics and hydraulic drive systems on self-propelled equipment in a technical capacity
  • Experience of working on agricultural machinery, self-propelled crop sprayers preferred but not essential
  • Maintenance and repair contract experience within the Agricultural Industry
  • Full driving licence and passport
  • Australian residency (sponsorship would be considered for suitable candidates)
